Welcome to Casta Latina!
This project began with the idea that all Latinos in Canada are a success story simply by being here, regardless of what you do for a living. In March 2021, we started by interviewing Latinos and uploading the interviews to YouTube.
A couple of years later, in April 2023, we became a federally registered non-profit organization in Canada. We evolved from YouTube into a digital multiplatform presence on six social media networks that educates, empowers, and showcases the Latin American community in Canada.
Our Mission
Casta Latina exists as a digital platform that contributes to the integration and development of the Latin American community, promoting its active participation in the ongoing construction of Canadian multiculturalism.
First Latin Convention
Casta Latina held its first in-person event, CONEXIONES LATINAS, on September 28 in Toronto, where our goal is to educate, empower, and support the Latino community in Canada. In 2025, it will be a two-day experience, taking place on September 20 and 21 at the largest library in Canada, in Toronto.

Casta Latina operates under two main principles:
We are an “umbrella” organization in which each project is independent in terms of content creation and monetization.
We are a non-profit organization. As such, the resources for our operation, maintenance, and development are sustained through pre-established donations from participating projects

Ximena Rangel

Treasure & Finance Director
Ximena, originally from Mexico City, holds a degree in International Business and speaks English and French. She moved to Toronto as an international student to pursue a postgraduate degree in Global Business Management, from which she graduated in December. Since January of this year, she has worked as the Executive Assistant at Casta Latina. Additionally, she is a marketing analyst at York United FC, a team in the Canadian Premier League.
Manuel Camacho

Manuel Camacho holds a Law degree with a specialization in Mexican immigration law and a Master’s degree in International Business Administration.
He is currently the Chair of the Education Committee of the Canada Mexico Chamber of Commerce (CANCHAM); a Board Member and Treasurer of the Mexican Association of Educational Tourism (AMTE); a Board Member of the Mexican Group of Travel Agencies and Tourism Companies (GMA); and also the Director of Public Relations for the Casta Latina association in Canada (castalatina.org).
Valeria Lemus

Marketing Director
Valeria Veyna, originally from Mexico, is a digital marketing specialist with a strategic focus on content creation and branding. With a postgraduate degree in digital marketing, she has developed her career across various industries, including entertainment, technology, education, media agencies, and property management.
She is currently our leader supporting LinkedIn and TikTok.
As the founder, collaborator, content creator, and photographer of VM Sports, along with her husband, she is dedicated to promoting sports in Spanish and English, highlighting Latinos in the global sports arena.
Passionate about photography and sports, she enjoys traveling, attending festivals and concerts, has run 4 marathons, and loves Mexican food.
